VOLUNTEERS & PROGRAMS: Have a special skill or idea for a program that you would like to share with the department? Let us know, as the Department is always interested in volunteers and new ideas. Contact the Rec. Office today @ 444-3955
Each year, the Belle Plaine taxpayers must cover the cost of repairing or replacing park facilities and/or vegetation that have been willfully damaged or destroyed. Since most parks have limited supervision, it is difficult to catch vandals who cause this damage. You can assist by reporting any acts of vandalism to the Parks and Recreation Department @ 444-2200 or the Police @ 444-2323.
Due to the large number of participants in certain programs and timing of weather, phone calls are not always possible. In case of bad weather during a program, parents are responsible for making arrangements in regards to their child. Please provide an e-mail address on registration form as we may use a free program to give updates. Also, please follow our Facebook Page: Belle Plaine Parks and Recreation.
The Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel, postpone or modify programs as needed. All departmental personnel have the power to make such determinations with the approval of the Parks and Recreation Director, Supervisors, and/or the Park Board.
All fees are payable upon registration. No child will be denied the opportunity to participate in any departmental program because of economic status. Contact the Parks and Recreation Department to make special arrangements. All program fee checks should be made payable to “Belle Plaine Parks and Recreation.”
Refunds are not issued unless special circumstances dictate such, as determined by the Parks and Recreation Director and Board. At no time will a refund be issued because an individual drops out or is suspended from a program.
