SCHEDULE

  •  The league will hold games in May and June. 

  • Softball is on Monday & Wednesday nights. 

  • Baseball is played on Tuesday & Thursday nights. 

EQUIPMENT

Equipment Needed:

  • All participants must have their own pants & glove

  • It will be beneficial to all participants to wear rubber or plastic cleats.

  • Personal helmet is highly suggested.

Beautiful wildflowers, trees, and shrubs highlight this park in a natural setting. Take a stroll through Belle Plaine’s most beautiful park on our 1/3 mile concrete trail, and then relax in the gazebo or on one of our many benches located throughout the park.  A shelter house is available.  This is a park that both young and old can enjoy.

Anderson Park

Great Place for small groups
For its size, .7 acres, this park experiences heavy usage from the area residents

Franklin Park

Twenty-eight acres with trees, open grass areas, and Aquatic Center

Franklin Park is our largest within the city with a variety of opportunities, from camping, swimming, and playing ball, along with two shelters available for rent throughout the summer.

Playground, 2 Rentable Shelters, Camping Area, Aquatic Center, Tennis Court, Sand Volleyball Courts, and a Baseball Field, Disc Golf Course, 2 Portables

Drahn Park

PLAY BALL!

Drahn Park is all about play, setup with ball fields, and a playground.  North of 16th Street is an open lot used for a variety of practices and parking during busy nights at the ball fields.

COMMUNITY CENTER RENTAL 
If you are planning on having a reception, family reunion or a social gathering—this is the place.  The Belle Plaine Community Center is available to rent through the Recreation Department.  
For scheduling, call City Hall at 319-444-2200

SHELTER RESERVATIONS 
Reserve a shelter or gazebo for your special outdoor activity for just $10.00 a day at Box Memorial, Franklin (2), Williams, Beautiful Plaines Prairie, or Anderson Park.
For reservations, contact the Recreation Office at 319-444-2200 

CAMPING AREA 
There are four camping spaces (one concrete space) located in Franklin Park.  Electrical hook-ups, restrooms, and a dump station are available.  These spaces are on a first-come first-serve basis.  Fee is $15.00 per day and is payable at City Hall.

EQUIPMENT RENTAL  
Need some recreation/sports equipment for a special event?  Baseballs, softballs, gloves, bats, footballs, soccer balls, bags game (both boards & bags), and other miscellaneous equipment are available to rent for $5.00 per day.

DISC GOLF SALES 
Discs are available for $5.00 at City Hall.  Stop by and purchase yours today!

REFUND POLICY
Refunds are not issued unless special circumstances dictate such, as determined by the Parks and Recreation Director and Board.  At no time will a refund be issued because an individual drops out or is suspended from a program.

ACCIDENT/INCIDENT INSURANCE 
The City of Belle Plaine does not provide accident/incident insurance for team or individual participants in Parks and Rec. Department programs or events. All participants assume their own risk of accident or injury while participating. Check with your personal insurance agent to assure coverage.

Wille Park

Williams Park

A  diverse neighborhood park in a quiet setting ideal for family gatherings.
